NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Cops are looking for a group of teens who they say are robbing fruit stand vendors on Manhattan’s East Side and getting away with hundreds of dollars in cash.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspects Sunday.

Police say they’ve been ripping the money out of vendors’ pockets and even attacking the vendors in some cases.

The NYPD says they’ve tied the teens to at least four robberies in the first half of December.

The first robbery was near Third Avenue and East 38th Street in Midtown East on Dec. 7, when police say the suspects grabbed $415 from a vendor’s pocket and then tripped him when he tried to give chase.

In another robbery near Second Avenue and East 97th Street on the Upper East Side, the teens allegedly held a vendor’s arms as they stole $98 in cash from his pocket.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
