CORONAVIRUS IN CONNECTICUT: No gatherings more than 5, 137 new cases in 1 day, state total now 1,012; death toll now 21

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The number of coronavirus cases in Connecticut jumped on Thursday by 137 to a statewide total of 1,012 cases, Gov. Ned Lamont said, while announcing a ban on gatherings larger than five in the state.

    Deaths jumped from 19 to 21 in the same period, he added. 

    Lamont also said that 125 people have been hospitalized and that more than 6,500 tests have been performed.
