Seventy-eight people tested positive for COVID-19, out of 12,594 people who were tested, the governor said. COVID-19 hospitalizations dropped by 13, to 77.

“I appreciate everyone’s support to help mitigate the impact of this virus on our state,” Lamont wrote.

Lamont reported five new COVID-19 deaths on Thursday, five on Wednesday and zero on Tuesday — the first time since March that Connecticut went 24 hours without a COVID-19 death, he said.
