Connecticut reports 5 new COVID-19 deaths, 75 new cases

    HARTFORD, CT (1010 WINS) -- Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont reported five new COVID-19 deaths and 75 new cases on Wednesday. 

    As of Tuesday night, 88 people in the state were hospitalized with COVID-19, up by five from Monday, Lamont said Wednesday.

    A total of 47,108 people in Connecticut have now tested positive for the virus, and 4,343 have died. 

    The state’s positivity rate continues to hover around 1 percent, according to Lamont.
