College basketball coach arrested for deadly attack on Florida tourist

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 35-year-old North Carolina man has been arrested with third-degree assault for the Queens attack on a Florida tourist who later died in the hospital, 1010 WINS has confirmed.

Jamill Jones of Kernerville, N.C., was charged for the Sunday morning attack in Long Island City, Queens, on Sabor Szabo, 35.

Jones is an assistant coach at the ACC basketball program at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. 

Szabo was reportedly in town for his stepsister's wedding. He was reportedly banging on cars, awaiting a car he had ordered, when Jones punched him because he had banged on Jones' car.

Szabo fell to the ground and was transported to the hospital where he died.

The investigation into his death continues.
