NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The brother of Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. was reportedly slashed during a dispute on the job in the Bronx this week.

Police sources told the New York Post that Samuel Diaz was in an argument near East 166th Street and Findlay Avenue in the Concourse Village section on Tuesday morning when he was attacked.

Diaz, who is a NYCHA superintendent, was slashed on the head and neck by a 27-year-old staffer wielding a sharp instrument, according to the sources.

It's unclear what sparked the argument.

Diaz, 49, was said to be in stable condition at a hospital after the slashing.

The man who allegedly attacked Diaz hadn’t been arrested as of Wednesday.
