Brooklyn Shomrim Leader Jacob Daskal Accused Of Raping Teenage Girl

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A leader of a Hasidic neighborhood watch group in Brooklyn is charged with raping a 16-year-old girl.

Jacob Daskal, 59, runs the Shomrim South Safety Patrol. Cops say he abused the girl between August and November of last year. He's charged with rape, criminal sex acts, forcible touching, and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

Daskal lives in Boro Park -- the Daily News reports -- he has strong ties to the NYPD.
