Brooklyn Party Boat Fight Followed By Chase, Crash, And Gunshots

May 26, 2018 - 9:43 am

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --  A party boat ride led to a fight, then a chase and police gunfire in Brooklyn.

The boat let passengers off at First Ave and 58th Street at about 11 p.m. Friday, and soon police were called on a report of a big dispute between two groups of people.

Cops believe at least one shot was fired. Officers say they recovered a semi-automatic pistol and a baseball bat at the scene.

A few minutes later, officers say they saw a car speeding recklessly in Sunset Park. They followed, and the suspect crashed into another civilian car at 801 Avenue C in the Kensington Section. Three people in that car were hurt, but expected to be okay.

As officers approached the suspect's car, cops say an officer fired one round, hitting the driver in the pinky. Authorities are still trying to sort out how this all went down.
