Bronx hit-and-run leaves man critically injured

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was critically injured following a hit-and-run in the Bronx Thursday night.

Police say the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Holland Avenue and Pelham Parkway North in the Allerton section.

The man was hit by two cars, and officials say one driver remained at the scene while the second driver left the scene.

EMS transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Officials have not charged the driver who remained at the scene.

The second driver remains at large.

Police are investigation which vehicle initially struck the victim.

A description of the fleeing vehicle was not immediately available.
