NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --  A five-year-old boy who was found wandering alone around Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon, following a plea from the NYPD to find the child's parents, has been reunited with his family, the NYPD said. The boy is reportedly non-verbal.

"We are happy to announce that he has been safely reunited with his family. Thank you for the shares," tweeted the NYPD's 77th Precinct

The initial tweet from the 77th Precinct included a photo of the child and read, "Who knows this handsome young man? Please share this to help us find his family."

The child was found at Buffalo Avenue and Park Place around 3 p.m.

Earlier in the day, another 5-year-old boy was found wandering around the Bronx alone.

And before that, a one-year-old child was found also wandering alone, but in Newark.
