NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A runaway goat was captured in the Bronx Sunday – the fifth farm animal to run from a slaughterhouse in the last couple of weeks.

ASPCA picked up the male goat around 6 a.m. near E. 180th Street and Boston Road in the West Farms section.

The baby goat had reportedly been chasing people around before teenagers called police to have them come and rein it in.

It’s unclear how the goat got there; the Bronx Zoo told the Daily News it wasn’t theirs.

According to the News, Animal Care Centers of NYC took the animal in and named him Burt.

“The rate at which farm animals are coming in to ACC is incredible to say the least,” a spokeswoman for the organization told the News.

Just days ago, a calf was wrangled on the Major Deegan after backing up traffic.

And a couple weeks ago, a lamb went for a run along the Gowanus Expressway.
