Authorities seize over 1,000 guns from LA mansion

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (1010 WINS/AP) -- Police say they have a man in custody after seizing more that 1,000 guns from a mansion in Los Angeles.

Authorities report that the received an anonymous tip regarding the sale of illegal firearms.

According to reports, they served a search warrant at around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, and seized stacks of rifles and handguns.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says guns were recovered along with weapons manufacturing equipment and tools, thousands of rounds of ammunition and weapons manufacturing equipment.

Officials arrested a man on suspicion of violating a state law that forbids the manufacture and sale of assault weapons and high-powered rifles. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
