CHICAGO (1010 WINS/AP) -- Two New York City chefs are James Beard award winners.

Chef Gabrielle Hamilton of Prune on the Lower East Side took home this year's outstanding chef award at the James Beard Awards Monday night in Chicago. She earned a nomination in the same category last year.
Chef Missy Robbins of Lilia in Williamsburg was named Best Chef New York City - the award Hamilton previously won.

Many consider the ceremony the Oscars of the culinary world.
The Beard Awards were based in New York. This is their fourth year in Chicago, where they moved in 2015.

Highlands Bar & Grill in Birmingham was named America’s most Outstanding Restaurant.
