Alleged mobster arrested for murder-for-hire of father and brother

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —Anthony Zottola, Sr. of Larchmont and three others were arrested Tuesday morning on murder-for-hire charges related to a conspiracy to kill Zottola’s father and brother.

Sylvester Zottola, Anthony Zottola Sr.’s father, was gunned down waiting for food at a McDonald’s in October 2018, and Salvator, Anthony Zottola Sr.’s brother, was targeted in a failed hit in July 2018.

The defendants will be indicted this afternoon.

Sylvester and Salvator Zottola are allegedly associates of the Bonanno crime family.

No comment has been issued yet as to motive.
