Alleged Bloods gang member arrested in connection to 2 Bronx murders

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested on Wednesday, an alleged member of the Bloods street gang wanted in connection to two murders in the Bronx that occurred blocks apart.

Officials say 36-year-old Dane Richardson shot 26-year-old Nestor Ventura numerous times while he sat on a lounge chair in the courtyard of the Academy Gardens complex on  in the Soundview section on Aug. 18 at approximately 3:50 a.m..

On Nov. 17, police say Richardson fired shots killing 19-year-old Stephon Brown, wounding his 21-year-old brother in the arm outside the Soundview Houses on Randall Ave.

Police offered $10,000 for information leading to Richardson’s capture, but didn't confirm whether the reward helped in Richardson's arrest. 

Richardson faces two counts of murder,  six counts of weapon possession along with attempted criminally negligent homicide and drug possession charges and awaits arraignment in Bronx criminal court.

His rap sheet includes a two-year prison sentence for assault in 2009, and a four-year sentence for drug possession in 2015.

Richrdson was out on parole until Dec. 19, according to public records.
