Actress Ruthie Ann Miles Loses Unborn Daughter Months After Park Slope Crash

May 17, 2018 - 7:20 am

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The accident in Park Slope that killed two children and injured their mothers back in March has now claimed another victim.

The March 5, crash at the intersection of 9th Street and 5th Ave was tragic enough.

"I stood over the little girl so no one would move her body, because I didn't know if she would make it," a woman said at the time.

The 4-year-old was the daughter of Tony winning actress Ruthie Ann Miles. Her lawyer has now confirmed that her unborn daughter Sophia Rosemary Wong Blumenstein died Friday.

Police say the driver in the crash Dorothy Bruns had a seizure and should not have been driving. She also had several red light camera violations.

Bruns has been charged with manslaughter, but is not expected to face further charges as state law only applies once the baby is born.
