75 years for NJ man who sexually assaulted, killed 11-year-old neighbor

KEANSBURG, N.J. (1010 WINS) -- A New Jersey man will serve 75 years in prison for sexually assaulting and fatally stabbing his 11-year-old neighbor in 2017.


Andreas Erazo was 18 when he confessed to killing Abbiegail Smith.

Authorities confronted him after finding the body some 13 hours after the girl was reported missing.

Smith was found bound with a computer cord, wrapped in a bed sheet, and left on the roof of a shed.

Erazo will be 84 when becomes eligible for parole.
