NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Six-week-old twins were taken to the hospital with bleeding in the brain and multiple broken bones while at their father’s house, and police are investigating the father’s culpability, officials said Friday.

The children were rushed to Hackensack Meridian Hospital in New Jersey by their mother at about 5 p.m. Thursday.

Doctors found the babies had fractured femurs and tibias and head injuries, according to police.

The mother said they were hurt during a visit at their father’s apartment on Grand Concourse near E. 192nd St. in Fordham Manor.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
