6 bicycling thieves surround, rob woman at gunpoint outside Pier 84

NYPD
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A woman was robbed by a group of armed men who surrounded her at Pier 84 and demanded her purse, police said.
The 41-year-old woman was in front of Pier 84 on Friday night when six young men encircled her and displayed a handgun, according to police.
The woman handed over her purse and was not injured.
Police said the suspects took off down 12th Avenues on the bicycles.
The woman had $60 in cash, a cell phone and three credit cards in her purse, according to police.
The NYPD said the thieves used the credit cards to purchase more than $640 in merchandise at three CVS pharmacies and a smoke shop.
Police released images of two of the suspects on Sunday.
