3 Hurt When Out-Of-Control Van Slams Into Scaffolding In Harlem

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three people were hurt when a van plowed into scaffolding on Tuesday.

The out-of-control van careened off teh sidewalk and into the scaffolding Tuesday afternoon on Second Avenue and East 123rd Street in East Harlem.

A man jumped out of the way but a woman was struck by falling debris, Al Jones reported. People pulled the woman out from the debris.

Three people were taken to Harlem Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

A spokesman for the owner of the van, Same Day Delivery, said the driver told him the throttle stuck, Jones reported.

City building inspectors and firefighters are investigating.
