NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two thieves met untimely ends under the wheels of trains in separate incidents Thursday.

In the first case in Sheepshead Bay, a man stole a phone from a Metro PCS store and was chased by a store employee.

The 52-year-old suspected thief ran into a Q train station and boarded a train. However, while running between cars he fell off the train and was crushed.

About an hour later in the Bronx, a man grabbed some beer off a freight train in Hunts Point, and as he was running away, he was hit by another frieght train.

He was 41 years old.
