NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was found fatally stabbed outside a Bronx apartment building Thursday night, police said.

At approximately 8:20 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of an assault outside of 2330 Washington Avenue in the Belmont section.

Upon arrival, they discovered an unconscious 36-year-old man with numerous stab wounds to his body, officials said.

EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to authorities, the victim got into a dispute with an unidentified man and woman before the fatal stabbing.

Police said the suspect fled southbound on Washington Avenue on foot.

So far no arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
