2 People stabbed at movie theater in Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Two men were stabbed inside a movie theater in Yonkers early Saturday, according to police.

The incident happened just after midnight at the Cross County Multiplex Cinemas. Police said they received reports of a fight inside the building.

When authorities arrived, they found a 40-year-old security guard with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

A second victim of the fight, a 17-year-old resident of Yonkers, was located at another hospital in the area, also with a stab wound to the leg.

Detectives are searching for attackers. It’s unclear what sparked the attack.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are interviewing witnesses, reviewing surveillance tape and processing evidence.
