VIDEO: 2 NYPD officers caught cursing over loudspeaker, under investigation

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two NYPD officers are under investigation on Thursday after a video surfaced with them allegedly making profane comments to a man over their police vehicle's loudspeaker in Midtown.

A video posted on social media showed the officers on Wednesday night telling a man that was yelling from a sidewalk to "shut the f**k up'' and threatening to "slap the s**t out of" him while inside a police department SUV.

The NYPD announced it is looking into the matter and an internal investigation has been launched.

"An incident involving two members of our department on patrol in Midtown Manhattan last night has surfaced,'' the department said on tweeted.

"This incident was put under investigation immediately and that internal investigation will be conducted as expeditiously as possible," the NYPD added.

Edward Delatorre, chief of the NYPD's transit bureau, tweeted that he was "equally alarmed by the footage.''
