The wounded driver drove down Buffalo Avenue onto Rockaway Parkway, where he struck a parked vehicle just four blocks away near Clarkson Avenue, police said.

The two victims were bleeding but left the car afraid that the gunman was still nearby, police say.

Police say both men managed to run another block to E. 96th St., before they collapsed.

Both victims were found on the sidewalk.

Officials say a 29-year-old victim was shot in the jaw and the second, 28-year-old victim was hit in the torso.

Both victims were rushed to Brookdale University Hospital and are expected to survive.

So far no arrests have been made.

Police investigating the area on Thursday were searching for surveillance video to help them identify the gunman.
