NORTH WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (1010 WINS) -- Two Metro-North employees were injured early Friday afternoon after one of their cars exploded in an employee parking lot at a railroad train yard facility, the MTA confirmed.

The injured workers were taken to Westchester Medical Center. Their condition is unknown.

Both the White Plains and North White Plains fire departments, as well as police, responded to the scene.

There were propane tanks in the car, lohud.com reported, but it was unclear if that was the cause of the explosion.
