19-year-old found fatally shot on Queens street: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --  The body of a 19-year-old man was found lying on a Queens street on Wednesday after he was fatally shot, police say.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., officials responded to a 911 call for an unconscious male in front of 82-53 268th Street in Glen Oaks.

Upon arrival, police foud Jay Patel with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Authorities say Patel was dropped off by a red Toyota Camry.

The victim was taken to North Shore University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

So far, there have been no arrests made, and the investigation is ongoing.
