NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A teenager was stabbed to death in a fight Monday night in the Bronx.

Police say 18-year-old Damion Gilbert was stabbed in the chest around midnight moments after he and a group of other at least a dozen other young men were asked to leave a building near DeKalb Avenue and 212th Street not far from Van Cortland Park.

The building superintendent Jose Peralta said he had to chase them out of the building because they were being too loud. He said they were not fighting.

"They were inside the building, inside a courtyard. No gang. They're nice kids. I asked them politely to go out and they left," Peralta said. "They're very loud kids but they don't fight. No robbery has been in this building ever. No problems. No physical fight, no shooting."

Surveillance video shows Gilbert staggering to the ground, bleeding. Police arrived and performed CPR but Gilbert couldn't be saved. He died at Montefiore Hospital.

A knife was recovered about a block away under a car.

No arrests have been made.

Authorities say this was the third homicide in the neighborhood this year.
