NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police say they’ve charged a 17-year-old in the stabbing death of another teen during a fight in Brooklyn this week -- and video showing the horrifying encounter was released Wednesday.

David Lopez was charged Wednesday with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say he stabbed 17-year-old Rohan Burke during a fight in Midwood on Monday before Burke stumbled into a pizzeria near East 17th Street and Avenue M.

Witnesses said it was a terrifying scene inside the pizza shop, with Burke bleeding and screaming for someone to call 911.

"He was very panicked, like something really happened, like something bad to his body. Like your life was basically on the line type of screaming,” witness James McCollum told ABC 7.

Video obtained by ABC 7 on Wednesday shows the stabbing unfold. The stabber approached Burke as he backed into the intersection, then attacked, according to ABC 7.

Burke died at Maimonides Medical Center overnight Monday.

On Tuesday night, police say Lopez turned himself in at the 70th Precinct stationhouse. He was reportedly wearing a dressy prom-like outfit at the time he surrendered.

Barbara Galloza, 38, was also charged with tampering with physical evidence and hindering prosecution.

She is Lopez’s mother and allegedly took the knife from her son seconds after the stabbing, according to The Daily News.
