NEW YORK (1010 WINS) Love changes everything, and if you have a four-legged family member, you already know how the love of a pet can dramatically change your life for the better.

On Sunday, March 25, 2018 animal lovers will gather in Manhattan to show their love at the “All For Love” Adoption Rally & Celebration presented by the Petco Foundation in Union Square Park from noon to 5 p.m. The event is part of the Petco Foundation’s "Love Changes Everything" campaign which aims to raise $3.1 million to support lifesaving animal welfare work nationwide.

As part of the campaign, the Petco Foundation has teamed with award-winning artist and creator of the heart-warming MUTTS comic strip, Patrick McDonnell. Attendees can meet McDonnell, pose for pictures with the famed MUTTS characters Mooch and Earl and participate in other fun activities centered around celebrating pet adoption.

Pet adopters can also join the Petco Foundation in creating the world's largest mosaic mural of people and their adopted pets. Adopters submitting photos at petcofoundation.org/snaplove will be eligible to win daily prizes, along with funding for the adoption organization that introduced them to their pet.

The mosaic, powered in partnership with WholeHearted pet food, will come to life at the All For Love event where some 200 dogs, cats and rabbits will be available for adoption from more than twenty New York area animal welfare organizations affiliated with the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals. Participating organizations include Animal Care Centers of NYC,  Animal Haven, The Animal Project, Anjellicle Cats Rescue, Best Friends–New York, Bideawee, Bronx Tails Cat Rescue, Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (BARC), Cypress Feline Rescue, Foster Dogs NYC, Grateful Greyhounds , Husky House, K9Kastle, KittyKind, Linda's Cat Assistance, Long Island Bulldog Rescue, Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue, Meow Parlour, Muddy Paws Rescue, Posh Pets Rescue, PupStarz Rescue, Rabbit Rescue & Rehab/NYC Metro Rabbit, Ruff House Rescue, and Second Chance Rescue.

In addition, for the first time, Petco will be live streaming a special webcast from the event hosted by 1010 WINS News Anchor & AllForAnimalsTV.com Host Susan Richard. Susan will give viewers an up-close look at the mosaic as it’s being constructed along with value information about pet adoption and the heartwarming stories of how love changes everything for people and their pets.  1010 WINS is proud to be the official radio partner of the All For Love Adoption Rally.

Since 1999, the Petco Foundation has invested more than $200 million in lifesaving animal welfare work, including adoption and medical care programs, spay and neuter services, pet cancer research, service and therapy animals, and numerous other lifesaving initiatives that have helped more than 5.5. million pets find their new loving families.
