NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the shooting death of a 22-year-old man in Queens.

Police say Tymel West was shot in the chest Saturday following an argument that began at a baby shower he was attending on Guy Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica.

Community advocate Tony Herbert says the shooting didn't actually take place at the shower, which was in a rented room at a Mason's hall.

He says the dispute began down the street at a corner store while the shower taking place. West was shot multiple times and staggered back to the front of the Mason's hall.

Herbert is hoping the reward will shake loose some leads.

Police have also released surveillance images and video of the suspect wanted in West's shooting.

He is described as a black male with a dark complexion, medium build and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, a black hooded sweatshirt with white designs on the sleeves, gray jeans and black sneakers.

Asecond man was fatally shot four miles away six hours later. The 26-year-old man, whose name hasn't been released, was shot death in East Flushing early Sunday morning.

No arrests have been made in either killing.
